Itinerary

Day 1 Cairo :
Welcome to Cairo! Or as the locals say in colloquial Arabic ‘ahlan wasahlan fi el-kaheira’. Your amazing holiday will start when you meet Thomas Cook’s representative who will assist you through the airport’s checkout procedures. He will then escort you to your hotel, where your journey into the mysteries of Egypt begins.

Day 2 Cairo :
At the plateau of Giza, you will marvel at the Sarcophagus, witness the phenomenal treasures buried with the Pharaohs, and you will also enjoy an optional visit to the thrilling Mummies room.

Day 3 Cairo-Aswan :
Prepare to travel through time as you take the air plane to fly to Aswan. On arrival at Aswan airport, you will be met, assisted, and transferred to Lake Nasser. After check-in, take the Kasr Ibrim cruise and enjoy lunch on board.
Visit Kalabsha temple, Beit El Wali, and the kiosk of Kertassi.
Afternoon tea is served in the lounge.
Dinner and overnight on board in Aswan Harbour.

Day 4 Aswan-Wadi El Seboua :
Sail to Wadi El Seboua, breakfast and cocktail when passing the Tropic of Cancer.
Lunch, dinner and overnight on board.

Day 5 Temple of Dakka-Amada :
Breakfast on board followed by a morning visit to Wadi El Seboua, the temple of Dakka, and temple of Meharakka.
Lunch on board while sailing to Amada.
Visit the temples of Amada and of Derr, as well as the tomb of Penout.
Dinner and overnight on board at Amada.

Day 6 Citadel of Kasr Ibrim- Abu Simbel :
Sail to Kasr Ibrim, have breakfast and enjoy the morning visit to the citadel of Kasr Ibrim. The tour is conducted from the ship's sun deck as entrance to the site is not permitted.
Next you will sail to Abu Simbel where lunch is served followed by a visit of the Temples of Abu Simbel.
Attend the Sound & Light show at Abu Simbel temples (non-compulsory, ticket not included).
Candle light dinner on board and overnight at Abu Simbel.

Day 7 Abu Simbel :
Breakfast on board.
If you wish, you may enjoy a second visit to the Abu Simbel temples to watch the sunrise (entrance ticket is not included).
Disembark and bid farewell to the sacred Nile to welcome back the fascinating city of Cairo, which is the melting pot of four distinct cultures (Pharonic, Christian, Islamic and modern).

Day 8 Cairo :
Your golden journey will now end but not before giving you the precious gift of unforgettable memories of Egypt.

  • Hotel booking is subject to availability. If the hotel is overbooked, an alternative one will be offered.
  • Occasionally there may be a possibility of a slight alternation in the itinerary. However, all scheduled visits will be conducted where possible.

Cancellation Policy:
  • Less than 21 days prior to travel date: 2 nights cancellation fee will apply.
  • No Show or cancellation 14 days prior to travel: A cancellation fee of 100% will apply.
  • No refund on unused accommodation.
