Passports and Visas A valid passport is essential for your journey and must be valid for 6 months after the date of travel. Please check with your Travel Agent for assistance.

You may require a visa for your journey. Please arrange this well in advance of travel. It is your responsibility to be in possession of a valid passport and, if required, a visa. Thomas Cook cannot accept any responsibility for customers who do not possess the correct documents.

Your flight Please ensure that you check in at least 2 hours before your flight. If you are late, the airline is entitled to refuse to allow you to board the aircraft.
Please note, your baggage allowance is linked to the airline and class of travel. Please check with your travel agent for information regarding checked in and cabin baggage. Airlines have the right to stow hand baggage in the hold if it is too bulky or more than the regulation number of pieces.

Your accommodation A “double” room is a room with a double bed; a “twin” is a room with two single beds; a single usually has a single bed and is a smaller room; a “triple” usually has two single beds and a fold-up bed is supplied, making the room cramped.

Check In / Check Out Please note in most hotels check in time is 3 pm and check out 12 noon. In the event of an early arrival or a late departure, a room may be made available for changing, resting or storing luggage or, rarely, you may be able to retain your room. Some hotels may be able to let you have your room early or agree to a late check out without charge. However, a charge may be made for this service.

Health Please make sure before you travel that you have a stock of any medication you take regularly. For travel in Africa, certain inoculations are required. Please check with your doctor.

Currency and Money For your own security and peace of mind, we recommend that you purchase travellers cheques for your journey, with a small amount of foreign currency for incidentals. Major credit cards are accepted in all destinations in this brochure. Thomas Cook can answer all your foreign exchange queries so do not hesitate to ask your travel agent.

Assistance If you have not already pre-booked, and you require meet, assist and transfer services, our local agent or representative will facilitate these for you and will be available to answer any questions and solve problems.
