Singapore, a cosmopolitan city with an intoxicating blend of traditional and modern with a truly international flavour, has all the warmth and friendliness of the Far East. Originally a British Trading Post founded by Sir Stamford Raffles, Singapore is now South East Asiaís most successful city, a vibrant metropolis with something for everyone.

Comprised of the main island and numerous smaller islets, Singapore ës skyscrapers and shopping malls rub shoulders with relics of a colonial past. The island is also ideal for those who enjoy sunbathing, swimming, sailing and other water sports, with everything easily accessible on foot, by taxi or on public transport

The city is excellent for shopping, with a wealth of malls, markets, and arcades, with something for all tastes from inexpensive souvenirs to designer goods. A thriving Chinatown, Little India, Arab Street and Clarke Quay all provide a diverse selection of cuisine and entertainment, and the city has a host of other attractions to enjoy including cable car rides and museums, galleries, parks and gardens to visit.
